When you play music through My Music in Microsoft Windows XP Media Center Edition 2005 with a Media Center Extender device, you cannot fast forward the music by using the FWD (fast forward) button on your Media Center Remote Control.

This behavior occurs because Media Center Extender devices do not support the fast forwarding of a music track while the music track is playing.
