Cause
The Ntvdwd.dll files that are included in the MS04-032 security update for Windows XP and for Windows XP SP1 have higher version numbers than the version numbers of the Ntvdmd.dll files that are included in Windows XP, in Windows XP SP1, and in Windows XP SP2.
Resolution
No action is required to resolve this issue. The Ntvdmd.dll files that are included in the MS04-032 security update for Windows XP and for Windows XP SP1 are the same files as the Ntvdmd.dll files that are included in Windows XP, in Windows XP SP1, and in Windows XP SP2. The only difference is the higher version numbers of the files in the security update. No updates to the Ntvdmd.dll files were required to address the security issue that is documented in Microsoft security bulletin MS04-032. Windows XP SP2 is not affected by the security issue that is documented in Microsoft security bulletin MS04-032.
