In Microsoft BizTalk Server 2004, when you use lots of Value Mapping functoids in a BizTalk Map, you may experience low performance when the map runs.

This hotfix introduces some optimizations to Value Mapping functoids. These optimizations can be enabled by adding the new OptimizeValueMapping attribute to the <mapsource> element in your BizTalk map (.btm) file and then setting the attribute value to yes. To do this, follow these steps:
  1. In Notepad, open your BizTalk map (.btm) file.
  2. Add the OptimizeValueMapping attribute to the <mapsource> element. For example, your <mapsource> element should be similar to the following:
    <mapsource Name="BizTalk Map" BizTalkServerMapperTool_Version="2.0" OptimizeValueMapping="yes" Version="2" XRange="100" YRange="420">
    Note The OptimizeValueMapping attribute value is case insensitive.
  3. On the File menu, click Save.
  4. On the File menu, click Exit.
