FIX: The focus of an ActiveX control in a group box may unexpectedly move to another group box in the dialog box of an MFC application that you develop in Visual C++ .NET 2003

This article has been archived. It is offered "as is" and will no longer be updated.
When you run a Microsoft Foundation Class (MFC) application, the focus of an ActiveX control in a group box may unexpectedly move to another group box in the dialog box.

For example, the following behavior may occur:
  • You develop an MFC application in Microsoft Visual C++ .NET 2003.
  • You add controls such as an option button, a check box, and an ActiveX Calendar Control to two group boxes in a dialog box.
  • You run the application.
  • When you press a key such as the UP ARROW key or the DOWN ARROW key, you expect the focus to move to another control in the same group box. However, the focus moves to an object that is in the other group box.
