Consider the following scenario:
Update Rollup 1 for Microsoft Windows 2000 Service Pack 4 is installed on a Windows 2000-based primary domain controller (PDC) emulator.
A user who is logged on to a Microsoft Outlook 2002 or Outlook 2000 client computer tries to change the domain password by using the Outlook 2002 or Outlook 2000 interface.
The client computer belongs to a workgroup.
In this scenario, the user cannot change the domain password on the Outlook 2002 client computer. This issue does not occur on Outlook 2003 client computer.
Note To resolve this problem, install this hotfix on the PDC emulator of the domain where the Exchange server is a member.
A supported hotfix is available from Microsoft. However, this hotfix is intended to correct only the problem that is described in this article. Apply this hotfix only to systems that are experiencing this specific problem.

You must restart the computer after you apply this hotfix.

This hotfix does not replace any other hotfixes.
The English version of this hotfix has the file attributes (or later file attributes) that are listed in the following table. The dates and times for these files are listed in Coordinated Universal Time (UTC). When you view the file information, it is converted to local time. To find the difference between UTC and local time, use the Time Zone tab in the Date and Time tool in Control Panel.
