When you use the Relog.exe tool to convert a .blg performance log file to a SQL database file, you receive one of the following error messages:
Call to SQLExecDirect failed with (null)
Call to SQLAllocConnect failed with (null)
Additionally, the following event is logged in the Event Viewer Application log:
Event Type: Error Event Source: PDH Event Category: None Event ID: 3042 Date: <date> Time: <time> User: N/A Computer: <computer name> Description:The description for Event ID ( 3042 ) in Source ( PDH ) cannot be found. The local computer may not have the necessary registry information or message DLL files to display messages from a remote computer. A supported hotfix is available from Microsoft. However, this hotfix is intended to correct only the problem that is described in this article. Hotfix replacement information
This hotfix does not replace any other hotfixes.
The English version of this hotfix has the file attributes (or later file attributes) that are listed in the following table. The dates and times for these files are listed in Coordinated Universal Time (UTC). When you view the file information, it is converted to local time. To find the difference between UTC and local time, use the Time Zone tab in the Date and Time tool in Control Panel.
