In Microsoft Business Solutions - Solomon, when you try to open the Login (98.000.00) dialog box or when you try to select a company in the Company List dialog box, you receive the following error message:
System Message 6024- Error opening data base with specified SqlServer: ServerName. Possibly the server's limit on workstation connections has been exceeded.
Then you receive the following error message:
System Message 5012- No supporting system information(PVREC) found for the possible values of this field.
This problem occurs when one of the following conditions is true:
A Microsoft Solomon 6.0 Service Pack 1 (SP1) installation failed.
The Microsoft Solomon 6.0 SP1 databases were restored on a server on which Microsoft Solomon 6.0 SP1 was not installed.
This issue occurs because you tried to access a Microsoft Solomon 6.0 SP1 database by using Microsoft Solomon 6.0 program files.
To resolve this issue, verify that the Microsoft Solomon 6.0 SP1 program files are installed.To do this, follow these steps:
In Microsoft Windows Explorer, locate the Microsoft Solomon 6.0 program installation folder.
Right-click the Signon.exe file, and then click Properties.
Click the Version tab, and then verify that the File version is 6.00.2272.
If the Signon.exe file is not the correct version, you must reinstall Microsoft Solomon 6.0 SP1 on the server.
Steps to reproduce the behavior
To open the Login (98.000.00) dialog box, click Start, point to All Programs, point to Microsoft Business Solutions Solomon, and then click Solomon.
If the Company box contains a value, you immediately receive the error messages that are mentioned in the "Symptoms" section.
If the Company box is blank, you receive the error messages that are mentioned in the "Symptoms" section when you try to select a company in the Company List dialog box. To do this, press F3 in the Company box.
