Text that is marked for redaction is deleted in Word 2003

When you mark text for redaction in Microsoft Office Word 2003, the text is deleted from the document instead of being redacted.
This issue may occur if you installed the Word 2003 Redaction Add-in version 1.1 and then installed the Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0.
To resolve this issue, use the Add or Remove Programs item in Control Panel to remove the Word 2003 Redaction Add-in version 1.1. Then, download and install the Word 2003 Redaction Add-in version 1.2.

Step 1: Remove the Word 2003 Redaction Add-in version 1.1

  1. Click Start, click Run, type appwiz.cpl, and then click OK.
  2. In the Currently installed programs list, click Word 2003 Redaction Add-in version 1.1, and then click Remove.

Step 2: Download and install the Word 2003 Redaction Add-in version 1.2
