FIX: You may receive an error message when you try to use the Windows Forms ActiveX Control Importer (Aximp.exe) in Visual Studio 2005

Consider the following scenario. You upgrade a project from Microsoft Visual Studio .NET 2003 to Microsoft Visual Studio 2005. You try to use the Microsoft Windows Forms ActiveX Control Importer (Aximp.exe) to convert a type definition in a Component Object Model (COM) type library for an ActiveX control to a Windows Forms control. In this scenario, you may receive the following error message:
AxImp Error: Parameter '<ParameterName>' of method '<MethodName>' has a specified default value that is not of a type (System.Object) recognized by the ActiveX Importer. Change the type of the parameter to a known OLE automation compatible type.
Hotfix informationA supported hotfix is now available from Microsoft, but it is only intended to correct the problem that is described in this article. Only apply it to systems that are experiencing this specific problem. This hotfix may receive additional testing. Therefore, if you are not severely affected by this problem, we recommend that you wait for the next Visual Studio 2005 service pack that contains this hotfix.
