When you run the Data Synchronization Tool to locate information that is not linked to the Microsoft Dynamics CRM 3.0 database, the information is not found. Additionally, you receive the following error message:
Note The Data Synchronization Tool is installed when you install the Microsoft Dynamics CRM Connector for Microsoft Dynamics GP.
String or binary data would be truncated.
This problem may occur if you use Microsoft Dynamics GP 9.0. In Microsoft Dynamics GP 9.0, the maximum column length of some fields is longer than it is in earlier versions of Microsoft Dynamics GP. If you enter data values that are longer than the column lengths that are allowed in Microsoft Business Solutions - Great Plains 8.0, you receive the error message that is mentioned in the "Symptoms" section."
A supported hotfix is available from Microsoft. However, this hotfix is intended to correct only the problem that is described in this article. Apply this hotfix only to systems that are experiencing this specific problem. This hotfix might receive additional testing. Therefore, if you are not severely affected by this problem, we recommend that you wait for the next software update that contains this hotfix.

System administrators can use the Spuninst.exe tool to remove this hotfix from a computer that is running Microsoft Dynamics CRM 3.0.
The Spuninst.exe tool is located in the %Windir%\$NTUninstallKB919261$\Spuninst folder.
