This Support WebCast summarizes the content in the "Introduction to Network Access Protection" white paper that can be downloaded at The WebCast provides an overview of the Network Access Protection platform in Microsoft Windows Server 2008, Microsoft Windows Vista, and Windows XP with Service Pack 3, the components of Network Access Protection, and how Network Access Protection works for various enforcement methods.

This is a Level 200 session that was recorded Sept 12, 2008 and presented by Joseph Davies. Joseph is a senior program manager in the Network Access Protection group at Microsoft. At Microsoft, he has been a technical writer and instructor of TCP/IP and networking technology topics and recently published the Windows Server 2008 Networking and Network Access Protection (NAP) title for Microsoft Press.
