Consider the following scenario. You use a dial-up connection on a Windows-based computer that is using one or both of the following Interactive Logon and Scripting options:

In this scenario, you experience one or more of the following symptoms:
You cannot enter your credentials in the post-connect terminal window.
Your credentials are not entered automatically by a post-connection script.
The connection attempt times out on the server to which you try to connect.
This problem may occur if the original version of security update 911280 (MS06-025) is installed on the computer. The original version of this security update was released on June 13, 2006.
To resolve this problem, uninstall the original version of security update 911280 (MS06-025) that was released on June 13, 2006. Then install the version of the security update that was available from June 27, 2006.
