You receive a security warning in Internet Explorer 7 and Internet Explorer 6 when you visit a Web page that is hosted on a secure Web site

When you use Windows Internet Explorer 7 or Internet Explorer 6 to visit a Web page that is hosted on a secure Web site (HTTPS), you unexpectedly receive the following security warning:
This page contains both secure and nonsecure items. Do you want to display the nonsecure items?
This problem occurs if the Web page script calls the removeChild() method to delete a DIV element that references a background image.
To work around this problem, use one of the following methods.

Method 1

Use the outerHTML property to delete the DIV element, as in the following example:
document.getElementById('myDiv').outerHTML=" "

Method 2

Put the background-image into a cascading style sheets file, as in the following example:
<style type="text/css">{ background-image: url(image.jpg); } </style>
