The hotfix that is discussed in this article is not available for the Chinese version of Microsoft Dynamics CRM or for the Japanese version of Microsoft Dynamics CRM.
After you merge two records that contain different sharing rights in Microsoft Dynamics CRM 3.0, the sharing rights of the subordinate record are missing.

After you install this hotfix, or after you install Update Rollup 2 for Microsoft Dynamics CRM 3.0, the following problem may occur. A user may be able to read the activities of an account even if the user is not the owner of the account, and even if the user does not have shared access to the account.
