When you try to connect to the SoftGrid Management Web Service server by using the SoftGrid Management Console, you receive the following error message:
Unable to log into the SoftGrid System. The security certificate received from your web server could not be validated. Please report the following error code to your system administrator. Error code: 0000C806
This problem may occur when SoftGrid is configured to use an encrypted channel, and the Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) certificate is not issued by a trusted root certification authority.
To test a certificate on a computer that is running Microsoft Internet Explorer 6 Service Pack 1, follow these steps:
Start Internet Explorer.
Visit the following Web site:
https://SoftGrid Management Service server/SoftGridManagement
Note If you are prompted for a certificate, the SoftGrid Management Console cannot connect to the Web site.
On the Tools menu, click Internet Options.
Click the Content tab, and then click Certificates.
Click the Trusted Root Certification Authorities tab.
If the Trusted Root Certificate Authority is listed on the Trusted Root Certification Authorities tab, the certificate is installed.
