Consider the following scenario. You are running a computer on which the Norwegian version of Windows Vista was preinstalled by the manufacturer. However, you notice that certain elements of the user interface are not displayed as expected. Specifically, certain elements of the user interface contain English text, text that is truncated, or linguistic errors.
Most preinstalled systems are not affected by this problem. To determine whether you are experiencing these symptoms, follow these steps:
Click Start , and then click Help and Support.
Under Informasjon fra Microsoft, click Finn filer og mapper.
In the upper-right corner, click Vis alt.
Under Slik filtrerer du filer, view the text that is displayed in the image.
The image contains the English words "Sort" and "Group." If these words are displayed in Norwegian as "Sorter" and "Gruppe," you are not experiencing this problem.
This problem occurs if the Norwegian version of Windows Vista that was preinstalled on the computer contains an incorrect version of the translated user interface.
