The following event is logged in the Application log on a server that is running Microsoft Antigen 9.0 for Exchange:
Event ID : 100 Category : Unknown Source : StatisticsManagerServer Type : Warning Description: The description for Event ID (100) in Source ( StatisticsManagerServer ) cannot be found. The local computer may not have the necessary registry information or message DLL files to display messages from a remote computer. You may be able to use the /AUXSOURCE= flag to retrieve this description; see Help and Support for details. This event is logged if the following conditions are true:
Antigen 9.0 for Exchange tries to create an instance of the Deployment Agent object.
There is no Deployment Agent on the server that is running Antigen 9.0 for Exchange.
In this situation, if you do not use the Antigen Enterprise Manager (AEM) in your environment, the Deployment Agent object cannot be automatically installed on the server. However, the code may enter the same code path whether the AEM Deployment Agent is installed or not. This behavior causes event ID 100 to be logged.
A supported hotfix is available from Microsoft. However, this hotfix is intended to correct only the problem that is described in this article. Apply this hotfix only to systems that are experiencing this specific problem. This hotfix might receive additional testing. Therefore, if you are not severely affected by this problem, we recommend that you wait for the next software update that contains this hotfix.

There are no prerequisites for installing this hotfix.
You do not have to restart the computer after you apply this hotfix. However, the hotfix will automatically stop and then restart any necessary services. If the services cannot be stopped, or if certain files are open, you may have to restart the computer to complete the hotfix installation.

Locate the Statistics.config file in the following folder:

Use Notepad to open the Statistics.config file.
