When you try to view performance counters on a Microsoft Windows Media Services 9 Series server that has more than 256 publishing points, Performance Monitor only lets you select from the first 256 publishing points in the Windows Media Publishing Point performance object. You cannot select any publishing points after the first 256 publishing points even if you want to view the performance counters of only one publishing point.
Windows Media Services only reports the statistics for 256 publishing points.

This limit does not affect the number of publishing points that Windows Media Services supports for streaming. This limit only affects the way that the service reports performance figures.
