Consider the following scenario. In Microsoft BizTalk Server 2006, a Microsoft Message Queuing (also known as MSMQ) receive location is enabled. You try to stop the BizTalk service. In this scenario, you receive the following error message:
ControlService FAILED 1053: The service did not respond to the start or control request in a timely fashion.
Additionally, the following events are logged in the Application log.
Event Type: Error Event Source: Service Control Manager Event Category: None Event ID: 7011 Description: Timeout (30000 milliseconds) waiting for a transaction response from the BTSSvc$BizTalkServerApplication service.
Event Type: Warning Event Source: BizTalk Server 2006 Event Category: BizTalk Server 2006 Event ID: 5740 Description: The adapter "MSMQ" raised an error message. Details "Thread was being aborted.".
A supported hotfix is available from Microsoft. However, this hotfix is intended to correct only the problem that is described in this article. Apply this hotfix only to systems that are experiencing this specific problem. This hotfix might receive additional testing. This hotfix contains only those files that are required to correct the issues that this article lists. This hotfix may not contain all the files that you must have to fully update a product to the latest build. The dates and times for these files are listed in Coordinated Universal Time (UTC). When you view the file information, it is converted to local time.
