After you successfully import a certificate on a Windows Vista-based computer, you cannot view the certificate information in Windows Internet Explorer 7 or in Certificate Manager.
This problem occurs if you do not have Read permissions for the following registry subkey:

Hotfix installation informationTo make sure that the user profile that is currently logged on overwrites the default user profile, set the CopyProfile tag to true. This hotfix must be installed before the Windows Vista setup process generalizes and overwrites the default user profile.
If you already have run the sysprep command together with the /generalize option, follow these steps:
File informationThe English version of this hotfix has the file attributes (or later file attributes) that are listed in the following table. The dates and times for these files are listed in Coordinated Universal Time (UTC). When you view the file information, it is converted to local time. To find the difference between UTC and local time, use the Time Zone tab in the Date and Time item in Control Panel.
