Installation of Windows Vista language pack from Windows Update fails

When you install a Windows Vista language pack from the Windows Ultimate Extras section of Windows Update, the language pack installation may fail.

Note Typically, the language pack installation fails with error code 2.
This problem occurs if a previous Windows Update process failed and caused the computer to be in a corrupted state. This prevents the installation of any language pack.
To resolve this problem, install the updated lpksetup.exe package that is available for download from the Microsoft Download Center.
