Symptoms
Windows Live Photo Gallery will not start on Windows XP Home Edition N, Windows XP Professional N, Windows Vista Home Basic N, or Windows Vista Business N.
Cause
This problem occurs because the European editions of Windows XP and Windows Vista that are designated as "N" do not include Windows Media Player and related technologies that are required to operate Windows Live Photo Gallery.
Resolution
To resolve this problem, install Windows Media Player. To do this, visit the following Microsoft Web site:
