You receive an HTTP status code 407 response when you try to update the scan engine in Antigen 9.0 for Exchange and in Antigen 9.0 for SMTP Gateways

Symptoms
You cannot update the scan engine in Microsoft Antigen 9.0 for Exchange or Microsoft Antigen 9.0 for SMTP Gateways. When you try to update the scan engine, you receive an HTTP status code 407 response.
Cause
This issue may occur if a proxy server redirects the update request.
Resolution

More information
When the proxy server redirects the update request, the authentication credentials are not passed as expected. Therefore, the update request fails and you receive an HTTP status code 407 response. The meaning of the HTTP status code 407 is "Proxy authentication required."
