The records list in the Look Up Records dialog box is not filtered by a new contact in Microsoft Dynamics CRM 4.0

Consider the following scenario in Microsoft Dynamics CRM 4.0. You create a new contact by clicking the New button in a Look Up Records dialog box. You save the new contact. In this scenario, the records list is not filtered by the new contact.
This problem occurs because of an issue in the logic that populates the primary field when you pull the display name.
