Text appears in a single line when you open the Preview page for an activity in Microsoft Dynamics CRM 4.0

Symptoms
In Microsoft Dynamics CRM 4.0, you type several lines of text. This text includes several line breaks for an activity. Then, you click Print Preview to open the Preview page for the activity. In this scenario, the text appears in a single line on the Preview page, and all line breaks in the text are missing.
Cause
This problem occurs because Microsoft Dynamics CRM 4.0 uses a new HTML encoding method. This new method does not use the traditional newline character (\n) to encode line breaks.
Resolution
This problem is fixed in the latest cumulative update rollup for Microsoft Dynamics CRM 4.0. For more information, click the following article number to view the article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:
