In Microsoft Internet Security and Acceleration (ISA) Server 2004, the Web proxy log records display incorrect information in the HTTP Status Code column. Specifically, the HTTP Status Code column displays a red X icon that is followed by red question marks (?).
Additionally, if you try to use the Copy All Results to Clipboard option or the Copy Selected Results to Clipboard option to export the problematic record, the operation fails, and you receive the following error message:
Error message 0x8007013d: ERROR_MR_MID_NOT_FOUND. Error message: "The system cannot find message text for message number 0x%1 in the message file for %2".
This problem occurs if ISA Server 2004 does not recognize the HTTP Status Code. For example, HTTP Status Code 440 is not recognized by ISA Server 2004 and does not have a description string.
To resolve this problem, apply the hotfix that is mentioned in the following Microsoft Knowledge Base article:
