Error message when you try to log on to the Microsoft Dynamics CRM Web site from the Microsoft Dynamics CRM 4.0 server: "Request IP Address has different address family from network address"

Symptoms
When you try to log on to the Microsoft Dynamics CRM Web site from the Microsoft Dynamics CRM 4.0 server, you receive the following error message:
Request IP Address has different address family from network address.
This problem occurs if the following conditions are true:
  • You run Microsoft Dynamics CRM 4.0 on a Windows Server 2008-based computer that has IPv6.
  • You use Internet-Facing Deployment (IFD) for Microsoft Dynamics CRM 4.0.
Resolution
  • Because Microsoft Dynamics CRM 4.0 does not support IPv6 only, make sure that IPv4 is also enabled.
