You insert a cross-reference into a Microsoft Office Word 2007 document.
If you update the cross-reference, a revision occurs in the value of the Ref field.
In this scenario, the Ref field is updated incorrectly when you print the Word 2007 document. Therefore, the revision in the cross-reference disappears.

To enable the hotfix automatically, click the Fix it button orlink. Click Runin the File Downloaddialog box, and follow the steps in the Fix it wizard.

To enable the hotfix, follow these steps:
Click Start, click Run, type regedit, and then click OK.
Locate and then click the following registry subkey:
On the Edit menu, point to New, and then click DWORD Value.
Type NoAutoUpdateFieldsRMark, and then press ENTER.
Right-click NoAutoUpdateFieldsRMark, and then click Modify.
In the Value data box, type 1, and then click OK.
Exit Registry Editor.
