Typically, when an e-mail message is detected as matching a virus, a file filter, or some other relevant entity in Forefront Security for Exchange (FSE) Server Service Pack 1, FSE sends the original sender of an e-mail message a notification that contains details of the event. However, when the "From" field of the original e-mail message header contains multiple lines, sender notifications are not sent.
For example, sender notifications are not sent if the "From" field resembles following:
From:" test User" <email@example.com>
In this example, FSE cannot correctly parse the line in the "From" field.
In this situation, the following errors may be written to the Programlog.txt file:
ERROR: Could not retrieve next row of data from AD. Error code: 00005012.
WARNING: The user does not have an SMTP address. User:
To resolve this problem, install Hotfix Rollup 3 for Microsoft Forefront Security for Exchange Server Service Pack 1 (SP1).
Note Forefront Security for Exchange Server SP1 must be installed before you install Hotfix Rollup 3 for Forefront Security for Exchange Server SP1.
