Issue that the hotfix package fixes
This hotfix package fixes the following issue that was not previously documented in a Microsoft Knowledge Base article:
When you try to open an .xls file that is stored in a folder of a Microsoft Office Outlook 2003 mailbox, Excel 2003 crashes. Then, the Outlook 2003 window becomes blank.

A supported hotfix is available from Microsoft. However, this hotfix is intended to correct only the problem that is described in this article. Apply this hotfix only to systems that are experiencing this specific problem. This hotfix might receive additional testing.
