When you try to synchronize a personal digital assistant (PDA) device by using Microsoft ActiveSync through Microsoft Intelligent Application Gateway (IAG), you receive the following error message:
Error getting client credentials
Additionally, the following detailed information is logged in the WhlFilter log:
WARN: WHLValidateAuthorization - An attempt to sneak an Authorization header was detected. Might be residues of previous authentication or improper browser behavior. Authorization header will be discarded.
This error may occur if the ActiveSync ISAPI filter (ASFilter) is unloaded from the trunk.
To determine whether the ASFilter is unloaded from the trunk, follow these steps:
Click Start, click Run, type inetmgr, and then click OK.
Expand computername, expand Web sites, right-click portalname, and then click Properties.
Click the ISAPI Filter tab, and then determine whether the filter's status is in an unknown state.
Note If the ASFilter runs appropriately, the status is displayed as a green arrow.
If the filter's status is in an unknown state, follow these steps to resolve the issue:
Open IAG Configuration.
Expand Services, and then expand both HTTP Connections and HTTPS Connections.
Under both HTTP Connections and HTTPS Connections, right-click trunkname, and then click Disable.
On the toolbar, click Activate configuration.
In the Configuration window, click Activate.
Under both HTTP Connections and HTTPS Connections, right-click trunkname, and then click Enable.
