When you try to access an application on a Microsoft Intelligent Application Gateway (IAG) portal, you receive an error message that access is denied. Additionally, a Warning event that resembles the following is logged in the Security log of the IAG event monitor:
ID: ID NUMBER
Type: Unrecognized Application
Trunk: PORTAL NAME
Description: Request failed, wrong configuration of the application server, port, or path. Trunk: PORTALNAME; Secure=1; URL: https://Application_Server/WebDirectory/IISWeb.dll; Source IP: IP ADDRESS
This issue occurs when IAG cannot recognize the application on the secure (HTTPS) portal that is named “PORTAL NAME”. This issue may be caused by the incorrect configuration of the application server name, of the port, or of the path.
To resolve this issue, verify the configuration of the application servers in the application properties. To do this, follow these steps:
