You receive an error message when you try to assign an instance of an entity to another user in the Microsoft Dynamics CRM Web client or in the Microsoft Dynamics CRM 4.0 client for Outlook

Symptoms
Consider the following scenario in the Microsoft Dynamics CRM Web client or in the Microsoft Dynamics CRM 4.0 client for Microsoft Office Outlook:
  • You log on as a user who has a security role that has the Read permission for an entity.
  • You try to assign an instance of the entity to another user.
In this scenario, you receive the following error message:
Access Is Denied.
However, the form of the entity record should be closed when you try to assign the record if you do not have access to the entity.
Resolution
