Problem description

If you change the Appointments font setting for the calendar in Microsoft Office Outlook 2007, the new font setting is not used when you print the calendar.

To resolve this problem, follow these steps:

  2. Enable the hotfixTo have us enable the hotfix for you, go to the "Fix it for me" section. If you prefer to fix this problem yourself, go to the "Let me fix it myself" section.



Fix it for me

To enable the hotfix automatically, click the
Fix it button or link. Click
Runin the
File Downloaddialog box, and then follow the steps in the Fix it wizard.



Note this wizard may be in English only; however, the automatic fix also works for other language versions of Windows.

Note If you are not on the computer that has the problem, you can save the automatic fix to a flash drive or to a CD, and then you can run it on the computer that has the problem.

How to enable the hotfix

  1. Exit Outlook 2007.

  2. Start Registry Editor.

    • In Windows Vista, click the Start button , type regedit in the Start Search box, and then press ENTER.

      User Account Control permission If you are prompted for an administrator password or for confirmation, type the password, or provide confirmation.

    • In Windows XP, click Start, click Run, type regedit in the Open box, and then click
      OK.

  3. Locate and then click the following registry subkey:

    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\12.0\Outlook\Printing

  4. On the Edit menu, point to New, and then click DWORD Value.

  5. Type DisableFontScaling, and then press ENTER.

  6. Right-click DisableFontScaling, and then click Modify.

  7. In the Value data box, type 1, and then click OK.

  8. On the File menu, click Exit to exit Registry Editor.

Did this fix the problem?

Check whether the problem is fixed by specifying the Appointments font settings and then printing a test calendar. If the specified font is printed, you are finished with this article. If the problem is not fixed, you can contact support.

To change the Appointments font setting in the calendar, follow these steps:

  1. Open the calendar in Outlook 2007.

  2. On the File menu, click Print.

  3. In the Print dialog box, click Page Setup under Print style.

  4. On the Format tab, change the Appointments font to the font that you want to use.
