Antigen 9.0 for Exchange with Service Pack 1 will not stop scanning a nested MSG file that is in an e-mail message when it reaches its Max Nested Attachment limit as defined in the General Options panel

This article has been archived. It is offered "as is" and will no longer be updated.
SYMPTOMS
A nested MSG file that is in an e-mail message can be contained directly in another MSG file as a sub-storage. When this MSG file is processed by the Structure Storage Navigator, this nesting is not included in the nested attachment count that is maintained in the WorkThread ScanCompressedFile routine. Therefore, Microsoft Antigen 9.0 for Exchange with Service Pack 1 will not stop scanning the message when it reaches its Max Nested Attachment limit as defined in the General Options panel.

Note This behavior may cause a memory resource issue.
