Consider the following scenario in Microsoft Dynamics CRM 4.0:
You create a marketing list that is based on a lead record.
You add a lead or some leads to the marketing list.
In the Marketing list dialog box, you click More Actions in the Marketing List Members area, and then you click Convert Lead.
You select to convert the lead or multiple leads to an account record and to a contact record.
In this scenario, the account record and the contact record are created from the lead or from multiple leads. However, the Parent Customer field is not populated on the contact record to reference the created account.
This problem occurs because the logic that updates the contact to link the contact to the account through the parent customer field is missing.
