List of issues that this service pack fixes and updates that this service pack includes

PerformancePoint Server 2007 Management Reporter SP2 fixes the issues that are described in the following Microsoft Knowledge Base article:
953658 Description of the PerformancePoint Server 2007 Management Reporter hotfix package: May 27, 2008
PerformancePoint Server 2007 Management Reporter SP2 also fixes the following issues that were not previously documented in a Microsoft Knowledge Base article:
  • You set the Display negative numbers in red option for a report in Management Reporter. When you view the report, values that are less than -0.5 are not displayed in red.
  • You cannot open Report Viewer if the Print Spooler service is stopped.
  • In Management Reporter, you delete a user from an entity. When you try to open this entity, you receive the following error message:
Object reference not set to an instance of an object.
After you receive this error message, Management Reporter crashes.
  • When you use a font in Management Reporter that does not support the Regular font style, the Bold font style, or the Italic font style, you receive the following error message:
Font <FontName> does not support style '<StyleName>'
Additionally, Management Reporter crashes. However, you expect the incompatible font will not cause Management Reporter to crash.

You usually encounter this problem when you use one of the following fonts:
    • Berlin Sans FB Demi
    • Brush Script MT
    • Harlow Solid Italic
    • Magneto
    • Monotype Corsiva
    • Palace Script MT
    • Vivaldi
  • After you use the Insert Reporting Units from Source System dialog box to build a reporting tree definition in Management Reporter, you undo the insert operation. However, when you redo the insert operation, you receive the following error message, and Management Reporter crashes:
Cell is not in a DataGridView. The cell cannot retrieve the inherited cell style.
  • Consider the following scenario. You create a report that contains negative numbers in Management Reporter. Additionally, you set the Display negative numbers in red option and clear the Use Parentheses for negative numbers option. Then, you export the report from Report Viewer. When you open the report that you exported in Microsoft Office Excel, the values are not displayed correctly. Positive numbers are displayed in braces ({}), and negative numbers are displayed as {1}{2}.
  • After you migrate a Microsoft FRx 6.7 configuration to Management Reporter, you exit and then restart Management Reporter. When you try to log on to Management Reporter, you may receive the following error message:
Microsoft Office PerformancePoint Management Reporter has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.
  • Consider the following scenario. You set the Display confirmation before exiting Management Reporter option in Management Reporter, and then exit Management Reporter. After you restart Management Reporter, you click Exit on the logon screen. After you click No in the confirmation message box, you are logged on to Management Reporter. However, you do not expect that you can log on to Management Reporter, and you are not sure who the current user is.
  • When you read data in Management Reporter where the source system integration was created by a company other than Microsoft, you may obtain incorrect data because of uppercase or lowercase differences in account names. Microsoft created the source system integrations for Financial Data Mart (FDM) Accounting System for Microsoft Dynamics NAV, for Microsoft Dynamics AX, and for PerformancePoint Server 2007.
  • When you generate a report in Management Reporter by using a tree against a PerformancePoint Server 2007 entity, you may receive a "System.OutofMemoryException" error message.
  • When you click Insert Rows from Account or Dimensions on the Edit menu in Management Reporter, you receive the following error message:
The Account Code(s) specified is not valid
This problem occurs when the source system of the current entity contains a dimension whose name and description are different. This problem occurs because the Insert Rows from Account or Dimensions dialog box uses dimension descriptions instead of dimension names.
  • Consider the following scenario. You create a transaction detail report by using the following definition:
    • In the column definition, you specify two columns of the ATTR column type.
    • These two columns have the same value.
When you generate the report, you receive the following error message:
This item would create a duplicate of an item that already exists in the collection. \\r\\n Property: Value \\r\\n Value: \"\" \\r\\n Each object must have a unique value for this property.\r\nParameter name: value
  • You create a report by using an account filter to exclude an account from a range of accounts. When you drill into the account level in Report Viewer, the account that you excluded still appears.
