Consider the following scenario. You are running Windows Vista, and you install a language pack. You switch to the language for which you installed the language pack. You then open Windows Help and Support by clicking on the Start Pearl and selecting Help and Support.
This correct icon for Windows Basics does not appear in the "Find an answer" section of Windows Help and Support. Instead, an icon with three stacked, colored cubes appears.
You may experience these symptoms if the check box next to "Include Windows Online Help and Support when you search for help" was cleared when Windows Help and Support was opened for the first time.
To resolve this issue, the option "Include Windows Online Help and Support when you search for help" must be enabled. Please follow these steps to enable this option:
Click the Start Pearl and select Help and Support to open the Windows Help and Support window.
In the Windows Help and Support window, click the Options menu button in the upper-right hand corner of the window.
Choose the "Settings..." under the Options menu. This opens the Help Settings window.
On the Help Settings window, under Search Results, click the check box next to "Include Windows Online Help and Support when you search for help."
Click the OK button in the Help Settings window.
Note the Windows Basics icon in the "Find an answer" section of the Windows Help and Support window changes from three stacked, colored cubes to the Windows Basics icon.
