FIX: Error message when you use the Svcutil.exe tool to generate code for service contracts from a specific XSD metadata document: "Warning: No code was generated."

You use the ServiceModel Metadata Utility tool (Svcutil.exe) to generate code for service contracts from a specific XML Schema definition (XSD) metadata document. You take some generated data contracts as reference. The code generation fails, and you receive the following warning messages:
Warning: No code was generated.
If you were trying to generate a client, this could be because the medadata documents did not contain any valid contracts or services or because all contracts/services were discovered to exist in /reference assemblies. Verify that you passed all the metadata documents to the tool.
Warning: If you would like to generate data contracts from schemas make sure to use the /dataContractOnly option.
Note This problem occurs on the type that does not have a .NET equivalent function in the XSD file. For example, this problem occurs on the xs:date type.
