On a Windows Server 2003 R2 x64-based multiprocessor computer, you install the Subsystem for UNIX-based Applications (SUA) component. When you run a C Shell script that includes the cut utility, the script may stop responding. If you run the ps –Axunix command when this problem occurs, you notice that the cut process is displayed in the output of the command. However, you cannot end the cut process. Additionally, if you end the parent C shell process, the script continues to run.
This problem does not occur in Korn shell or on a single processor computer.
