In low memory situations the Application Virtualization Client 4.5 (sftlist.exe) may shut down causing users active Virtual Applications to terminate. The sftlist.exe service will restart when a user launches a new Virtual Application.
To resolve this issue, add more physical memory to the App-V client or run fewer applications and processes at one time.
Prior to 4.5, the behavior of the Client when it encountered an unhandled exception was to log the exception and continue execution of the front-end component requests, although sftlist.exe could be terminated. When an exception occurs, it can leave the process in an indeterminate state.
