Symptom

When using the Import Applications wizard in the Applications node of the AppV 4.5 Management Server MMC, changes made to the File Type Associations are not saved. Once the wizard completes, if you right-click on the application just imported, select Properties and then click on the File Associations tab, the file-type associations are unchanged.
Cause
Resolution

Instead of changing the file-type associations in the Import Applications wizard, make any desired changes from the File Associations tab of the application Properties.
