Some messages are stuck in the Outbox folder or the Drafts folder on a computer that is running Exchange Server 2007 Service Pack 1

SYMPTOMS
On a computer that is running Exchange Server 2007 Service Pack 1 (SP1), some messages are stuck in the Outbox folder or the Drafts folder, and are not picked up intermittently. Additionally, the following event is logged when this problem occurs:

CAUSE
There is a corrupted internal folder ID or a message ID in the Exchange Server 2007 SP1-based server that causes this problem.
RESOLUTION
To resolve this problem, install Update Rollup 9 for Exchange 2007 Service Pack 1.
