An error is returned when you enable SCR from any source in a child domain after you install Exchange Server 2007 Service Pack 1 Rollup 5

SYMPTOMS
After you install Exchange Server 2007 Service Pack 1 Rollup 5, the following error is returned in Exchange Management Shell when you enable standby continuous replication (SCR) from any source in a child domain.

Standby continuous replication is not supported between computers in different Active Directory domains. The target node is in domain <child domain> which is different from the source domain of <parent domain>.
Enable-StorageGroupCopy -Identity <Source Server>\<Storage Group> -StandbyMachine <Target Server> -Verbose
VERBOSE: Enable-StorageGroupCopy : Beginning processing.
VERBOSE: Enable-StorageGroupCopy : Searching objects "<Source Server>\<Storage Group>" of type "StorageGroup" under the root "$null".

CAUSE
This issue occurs because the domain of the source server always returns the root domain, which differs from the child domain.
RESOLUTION
To resolve this problem, install Update Rollup 7 for Exchange 2007 Service Pack 1.
