When you try to migrate clustered resource groups from Windows Server 2003 by using the Failover Cluster Management Console of Windows 2008 Cluster Node, consider the following scenario:
1) Under Configure, click Migrate Services and Applications.
2) Read the first page of the Migrate a Cluster Wizard, and then click Next.
3) Specify the name or IP Address of the cluster or cluster node from which you
want to migrate resource groups, and then click Next.
You receive the following error:
"An error occurred while determining if you have administrator privileges on
'CLUSTERNAME.DOMAIN.COM'. The network path was not found".
This problem occurs if Remote Registry service is not running on Windows 2003 Cluster Nodes.
To resolve this issue start the Remote Registry service. To do this, follow these steps:
1. On the Windows 2003 Cluster Node1, click Start, click Run, type services.msc, and then click OK.
2. In the list of services, double-click Remote Registry.
3. In the Startup type list, click Automatic, and then click Apply.
4. Click Start, and then click OK.
5. Repeat the Steps on Cluster Node2.
