"The ActSys32.mdb is in use. It is located in the following directory: <path to existing Sysdata directory>. Please shut down the application that is using it and reinstall this Service Pack".
This error occurs during installation of a Microsoft FRx service pack.
This error can have at least two possible causes:
A user is logged into Microsoft FRx at the time that the service pack is being installed.
The user attempting the upgrade does not have sufficient permissions to either the Microsoft FRx SysData folder or the ActSys32.mdb file.
To resolve this problem do the following: 1. Check to see if there is an ActSys32.ldb (Microsoft Access Record-Locking Information) file present in the SysData directory. If so, make sure that all users have logged out of Microsoft FRx. Once all users have logged out, the file should disappear. 2. If an ActSys32.ldb file remains after all users have logged out of Microsoft FRx, manually delete the ActSys32.ldb file. 3. If the problem persists after verifying that no-one is using FRx and that there is no ActSys32.ldb file in the SysData folder, check the permissions on both the SysData folder and the ActSys32.mdb file to make sure that the user attempting the service pack installation has at least modify permissions for the SysData directory and for the ActSys32.mdb file.
