SFC.exe (System File Checker) shows it is repairing corrupted files per the CBS log after installing Windows Vista SP1

Symptom


After installing Windows Vista SP1 and running “SFC.exe,” the following may be recorded in the file %windir%\Logs\CBS\CBS.log:

 





Repairing corrupted file [ml:520{260},l:58{29}]"\??\C:\Windows\System32\da-DK"\[l:20{10}]"secpol.msc" from store
Cause


Two manifests on the system claim ownership of the file and think it is supposed to have a different hash than it actually has.
Resolution


This message can be safely ignored as the file itself is not corrupted.
