When you try to create an encrypted database in Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Compact Edition, you may randomly receive the following error message:

How to install this hotfixTo install this hotfix, follow these steps:
- Uninstall the existing version of SQL Server 2005 Compact Edition.
- Extract the hotfix package.
- Install the new version of SQL Server 2005 Compact Edition that you extracted from the hotfix package.
