Consider the following scenario. In a Microsoft Host Integration Server 2006 environment, you import type library files (.tlb) into Host Integration Server 2006 assemblies. The Transaction Integrator (TI) manager converts values of the CURRENCY data type to values of the DECIMAL data type as expected. However, the COBOL data is not preserved.
For example, you import a .tlb file that contains the following value to a Host Integration Server 2006 assembly: CURRENCY PIC S9(9)V9(2) DISPLAY
After the import operation, the value is converted to the following: DECIMAL PIC S9(9)V9(2) COMP-3
The expected input and output data size are retained after the conversion. However, you have to manually change all the COMP-3 data fields to DISPLAY data fields.
