Error message when you try to connect to the Product Studio middle-tier server that is running on a Windows Server 2008-based computer from a computer that is running Windows XP: "Could not connect to the Product Studio datastore listed above"
On a computer that is running a Windows XP 32-bit operating system, you have the Product Studio client installed. When you try to connect to the Product Studio middle tier server that is running on a Windows Server 2008-based computer, the connection fails. Additionally, you receive the following error message:
Datastore Name Could not connect to the Product Studio datastore listed above.
Details: Source: Product Studio Description: Unable to connect to the "Datastore Name" middle tier server. The middle-tier COM object cannot be created. Code: 80070721
Source: Windows Description: A security package specific error occurred. Code: 80070721
Note This problem does not occur if the Product Studio middle-tier server is running on a Windows Server 2003-based computer.
